From this day forward...

On Saturday 30th March we sang for Rhapsody & Andy's wedding. Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at The Bingham in Richmond, Surrey. It is a dreamy boutique hotel set on the River Thames. The couple had styled the room with sheer class, full of hydrangeas and butterflies. We met Rhapsody previous to her big day and she was one of the nicest brides we have ever had the pleasure of working with.

It is always an unbeliveable honour to sing at a couple's wedding ceremony and this one was no exception. As their excited guests took their seats we sang for them and were given a round of applause after each song which was lovely. Rhapsody looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle to an emotional and nervous Andy but as they met eachother they immediately relaxed and the ceremony begun. We sang " You're Still the One" as they signed the register (at the Groom's request - Rhapsody said she thought she had better be fair and let him make one wedding decision- ha ha!). As they walked back down the aisle as Mr & Mrs they asked us to sing "At Last" as apparently all their friends and families had been waiting for them to tie the know for ages!

We then sang during the drinks reception to entertain everyone as champagne flowed freely and lots of beautiful photos were taken. We sang everything from Chattanooga Choo Choo to our acoustic version of Call me Maybe to suit all tastes!

Before long the newlyweds and their guests were sitting down to enjoy their wedding breakfast so we quietened things down a bit and sang some relaxed music to create a lovely atmosphere for everyone to enjoy as they ate.

We had such a lovely day and would like to thank Rhapsody & Andy and wish them a truly wonderful future together. Congratulations! Wedding Singers Surrey

"We were so delighted to have you, it really did make the day that extra bit special and was the best and most classy entertainment for the guests. At one point grown men were reduced to tears at the angelic voices and beautiful girls before them. Not only do you girls look the part but you really sounded AMAZING and everyone has commented on how lovely you were. Thank you for making our day that bit more amazing. I will be recommending you to anyone I can for any event because I was SO impressed." Rhapsody Whyte

What a Wonderful World

Vintage Singers SurreyOn Friday 15th March we had the pleasure of singing for Joan's 90th Birthday in Surrey. It was a small family affair and we spent a wonderful afternoon singing Joan's favourite songs everything from "In the Mood" to "Fly me to the moon". After our set everyone celebrated with champagne and cake. It was a complete honour for us to share in such a special occasion and as we left Joan said... "I'll see you again next year girls!".  We are already looking forward to it!

"It really was a wonderful party for my mother and I am so grateful to you both for what you did in order to make it so memorable. You two really were superb and it was thanks to you that is was so marvellous. We could not have wished for more." Jane Elmer

007 Heaven

On Saturday 2nd March we were transported into what seemed to be the set of a Bond movie! Whitstable Castle in Kent were holding a Bond Evening and asked us if we would provide the entertainment. How could two girls say no to that? A beautiful castle, a red carpet, an Aston Martin and of course James Bond himself greeted guests as they arrived at the castle for the 007 event. We were singing in the Cocktail Room where guests were enjoying Martini's that were being shaken..but not stirred (couldn't resist)! We sang a mix of Bond classics and swing songs for everyone as they ate, drank and danced the night away. We even managed to grab Bond himself for a quick picture. Tonight was our first gig with Lucy who is covering Emma's maternity leave for a few weeks. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome another member to our flock.

We look forward to returning to the castle Bond Singers Kentvery soon.

Wonderful Weddings!

On Sunday 24th February we sang at Eastwell Manor's Wedding Fayre. Eastwell Manor is a beautiful manor house in Kent with truly stunning grounds which happened to be dusted with snow that day which made them look very magical! We sang our most popular wedding songs during the day and sang during the Bridal Catwalk Show which was great fun. We chatted to lots of brides and grooms about singing for their wedding ceremonies , drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts Wedding Singers Kent.

Entertainment is quite often a detail that is organised after the "big" ones like the venue, dress and photographer and can be often forgotten but can make so much difference to your day. Having live music to accompany you as you walk down the aisle or to entertain your guests while you and your new hubby have your photos taken really can add that special touch and make your wedding day run seamlessly.

We had a lovely day and are proud to say that we are now a preferred wedding supplier for Eastwell Manor.

We'll Meet Again

On Saturday 2nd February we were asked to sing for Greta's 90th Birthday Celebrations. The theme of the party was 1940's Vintage. Greta's family hired a gorgeous village hall near Redhill and decorated it with bunting and hired the amazing girls from Tea Vintage who set up an authentic styled Wartime pop up tea roomVintage Music Surrey. The whole party was a suprise for Greta which started with her being picked up in a Vintage Car and brought to the venue where over 60 of her friends and family awaited to greet her and pop the champagne. One of the biggest suprises of all was that one of her grandaughter's came over from Austrailia to wish her a happy birthday at which point there wasn't a dry eye in the house! We performed a 1940's set which everyone thoroughly enjoyed having a dance to. This was truly one of the loveliest gigs we have performed at.

" Well, you truly are Nightingales. We are so happy that you came and sang for us at my Mum's 90th birthday party. I can't tell you enough how much she and all the guests enjoyed it, my mum was over the moon. You stole the show with your harmonies and it was so lovely that people got up to dance. My mum said that every now and then when she looked at you and listened, she felt 19 again and back to her days singing and dancing in the halls of wartime Britain. She is still talking about it now!

You were delightful, the perfect accompaniment to our vintage tea party! Thank you so much." Amanda Vintage Tea Parties SurreyCarroll.
